My first residential real estate shoot was for Brookstone Homes and Hour Homes in Stafford, Virginia. I was scheduled out when the home was complete and the home was very clean and perfectly in-order. There was a lot to learn as it was my first time doing both photography and videography for a brand new home. The first thing I learned was that it takes at least 5 hours for everything to be shot when doing both photography and videography. I noticed golden hour to twilight is the best time to shoot in most cases because the rooms will be evenly lit without a lot of light on the carpet or hardwood floors. I recommend 6 hour shoots for both services so you can get golden hour and twilight so you have photos of all rooms with perfect lighting.
